DAY 1: HOI AN - KON TUM 300km – 6.5h (L)
This morning, our guide and driver pickup in Hoi An/or Danang city then drive to Kon Tum along the Ho Chi Minh trails. Lunch at local restaurant. On the way, visit Sedang village of Dak Wak, T-Junction of Indochina (Laos – Vietnam – Cambodia) and Dakto – Tan Canh, a major battlefield during the American war…
Arrive in Kon Tum at the end of the day. Check-into your hotel and spend the free evening at your leisure.
Overnight in Kon Tum.
DAY 2: KON TUM - PLEIKU 50KM - 01h (B,L)
Breakfast at the hotel and checkout.
Visit Kontum city tours such as Kontum seminary, the wooden church built by French missionaries in 1913 and restored in 1990 and orphanage Vinh Son. Continue to Konklor village of the Bana and visit the communal house, suspension bridge... Lunch at local restaurant. Drive to Pleiku, visit J’rai village and cemetary cultures, tea plantations, T’nung lake and Minh Thanh pagoda one of the most gorgeous pagodas in the Central Highland region with its unique architecture…
Overnight in Pleiku.
DAY 3: PLEIKU - BUON MA THUOT - DRAYNUR WATERFALL (B,L)
Breakfast at the hotel and checkout.
Overland to Buon Ma Thuot (180km, around 04 hours) along the Ho Chi Minh Road to Buon Ma Thuot pass by endless rubber, coffee, and pepper farms. Lunch at local restaurant. This afternoon we visit the Ede village of Ako Dhong where you will meet and talk with some local villagers. Then Dray Nur waterfall, fed by the Srepok River, a major tributary of the Mekong River that flows from the Central Highlands into northeastern Cambodia.
Overnight in Buon Ma Thuot.
DAY 4: BUON MA THUOT – LAK LAKE 50km - 01h (B,L,D)
Breakfast at the hotel and checkout
Visit Daklak Museum which houses an extensive collection of traditional costumes and artifacts, showcasing the revolutionary traditions, natural features, and cultural characteristics of the ethnic minorities in the Central Highlands. Drive to Lak lake, stop to climb up the Elephant Rock, the largest monolith ever known in Vietnam as the shape of a lying elephant.
Explore the native villages of the M’nong community who has been residing in distinctive traditional longhouses in Jun, Le and photos with home elephants.
Lunch at local restaurant.
In the afternoon, take the boat trip for a closer look at the largest natural water body of Central Highlands. Enjoy the gong music show with rice wine drinking with the M’Nong, the most unique and interesting cultural activity of Central Highlands with M’Nong people while tasting the traditional “ruou can” (rice wine stored in a big jar and drunk by using a long pipe and the art of weaving brocade).. Drive up to the hill top to visit Bao Dai villa historic relic of the former Emperor Bao Dai. From here, you have an overlooking the views of lake, the town and fishing village.
Dinner and overnight homestay at the M’nong hilltribe village.
DAY 5: LAK LAKE - DA LAT 150km - 04h (B,L )
Breakfast at the homestay and checkout..
Overland from Lak lake to flower city of Dalat (150km, around 04 hours), stop en-route to see local people with many farming activities. Visit Elephants waterfall, and Linh An pagoda in Nam Ban before heading to Da Lat city.
Lunch at local restaurant.
In the afternoon: Visit the Crazy house, famous for its unique architectural style and Bao Dai's summer palace, for an insight into the daily life of the last Vietnamese Emperor.
Overnight in Dalat.
DAY 6: DA LAT (B,L)
Breakfast at the hotel.
Visit Dalat railway station, built by the French from 1932 to 1938 and take the train 7km to Trai Mat to visit Linh Phuoc pagoda. Continue visiting the City flower garden, with a profusion of colorful blooms, including flowers rarely seen elsewhere in Vietnam.
Lunch at local restaurant.
Visit the Truc Lam Zen Monastery and Tuyen Lam lake.
Overnight in Dalat.
DAY 7: DA LAT - AIRPORT (B)
Breakfast at the hotel.
At leisure and checkout. Transfer to Lien Khuong airport for the flight to Hanoi/or Ho Chi Minh City. End the tour in the Central Highlands.
