ELEPHANT CARE ACTIVITIES IN LAK LAKE

Duration: 01-day tour (08h00’ – 16h30’)

Tour program:

* A highlight of your tour will be a friend of elephant and helping to wash our elephant on the river.  We do not allow tourists to ride the elephants or sit on them.

08h00’: Guide and driver of CHD TRAVEL picks up guests in Buon Ma Thuot, and depart to Lak Lake, 52km away Buon Ma Thuot city in the southeast on NR 27 to Dalat city.

• Lak lakeis the second largest freshwater natural lake in Vietnam after the Babe Lake in North West Mountain of the country. Located in the province of Dak Lak, refueled by the river of Krong Ana, Lak Lake having 5km square is surrounded by the villages of the M’nong people living in very long houses, green mountains covered by lush forests. 

On arrival to Lak lake, meet the Mahout and prepare local tractor, food for elephants.

Go with Mahout and learn some extensive knowledge about elephant’s daily activities, the M’nong hilltribe customs and traditions on the way.

Following the path to the place where elephant staying, be accompanied at first, photo with elephant, give food then get out of the forest, following as the elephant walks through the forest to the river.

Help the Mahout to wash and clean the elephant.

Feed the bananas/or sugar canes and take exciting photos with elephant before leaving.

Back to Lak lake and visit M’nong hilltribe village to learn about the tradition, customs and daily activities…

Lunch at local restaurant.

Dug-out canoe trip on the lake to get such amazing experiences.

Have coffee at Bao Dai hill, nice view overlooking the lake then go to Elephant rock on the way back to Buon Ma Thuot.
